Alice Jones is a dynamic and enthusiastic musician with a varied portfolio and skill set. She principally teaches and performs as a cellist and specialises in music for Early Years.  As a soloist and ensembles player, Alice has performed at venues such as The Royal Albert Hall, Wigmore Hall, Royal Over-seas League, The Sage, Gateshead and St David’s Hall, Cardiff.  She has played recital concerts and performed concerti around the UK and abroad. She is a founding member of Trio Taliesin and performs with them regularly.

With over twenty cello students ranging in age from 5 to 70 years olds plus, Alice is an experienced and adaptable cello teacher. She recognises and supports the preferred learning styles of her students whilst guiding them in the right direction to progress – whether that be through exams or not.

Alice is passionate about engaging young children with music in a creative and holistic way. As an early years music practitioner she has worked in a range of settings from community centres to schools and has held the position of early years music teacher at Junior Trinity (Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance for the last five years. Her approach is strongly influenced by the Dalcroze Method with elements of practice based on current research of music in early years settings.
